BBQ Onion Topped Turkey Burger Print E-mail

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons olive oil
4 medium onions (1-1/2 lbs.), thinly sliced
1/3 cup prepared barbecue sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 pound ground turkey
1 tablespoon Cajun spice blend for meat (salt-included blend)
4 Kaiser rolls, split

Preparation:

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook 12 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender. Stir in barbecue sauce and salt.

Meanwhile, lightly mix turkey with Cajun spice blend in large bowl. Shape into four 3- 1/2x1/2-inch-thick patties.

Brush grill pan with 2 teaspoons oil; heat over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook 3 minutes per side, until cooked through. Transfer patties to roll bottoms and top each with 1/2 cup onions and top of rolls. Makes 4 sandwiches.
